Upon walking in warm smiles and cheerful greetings welcomed the 3 students through the doors at Brick House Deli, a cozy and homely establishment without the lack of patriotic apparel and support for veterans. One reviewer, Stephen Kummer, stated that it felt as if he was at his grandparents house with the old decorations and the scent of freshly baked bread in the air. On the second episode of Sader’s Eat, the crew took a trip down to the local Brick House Deli. A different, but still tasty approach to breakfast. After looking at the several unique items on the menu, the three took their turns ordering. Much to their delight they received fast and friendly service with a side of well priced meals.
Cody Mackey, the photographer, got the Philly beef sandwich which was a 10/10 for him. The tender, flavorful, steaming mixture of beef and roasted peppers paired well with the sweet crunch of freshly toasted bread with a side of creamy potato salad served cold and fresh went well together and melted in the mouth.
Stephen Kummer, a professional food enjoyer, ordered the spiral ham sandwich which was a solid 9/10. The sweet and tart mixture of tomato, Swiss Cheese, ham and honey mustard along with the crunch of fresh lettuce provided him the perfect sandwich as all the flavors paired together in unison. The side provided the perfect pallet refiner as the salty and well seasoned crunch of home made chips paired perfectly with the meal.
Brady Palmer, the main reviewee, enjoyed a roast beef on rye. He stated it was the perfect meal for the morning to come and rated it a 10/10. The smokey and tender roast beef with the tangy yellow mustard was brought together well with pepper jack cheese and sweet and sour rye bread. Brady also enjoyed a side of house chips with his meal.
Overall this unique breakfast touched some taste buds some of us didn’t even know we had. The warm environment with great service and well priced meals made this place one of our favorites. We should be soon returning on our own time to try the rest of the large menu.
