On September 30th, the campus ministry organized a rejuvenating day of revival. They took a serene trip to Starkenburg, Missouri, just a short drive from Hermann, to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows. The day unfolded with peaceful prayer, adoration, a guided tour, and an insightful history lesson from Deacon Clever.
Gracie Scheulen, Lauren Schroeder, and I reflected on how the calm atmosphere provided a much-needed break after the excitement of homecoming week. “I want to have my wedding here,” Schroeder remarked, admiring the shrine’s breathtaking beauty. The group later capped off their day with a visit to Espresso Laine, Deacon’s favorite coffee shop in Hermann.
